This is a winter wedding at its finest! I loved Alex & Mike's day and all their wintery, holiday elements sprinkled throughout. My first time meeting Alex & Mike was actually on the big day itself, since these two resided in Arizona prior to their wedding, an in-person meeting before the big day was not likely :). Although throughout our communication up until the day itself, I felt like we were already best of friends. Alex & Mike are some of the most down to Earth individuals I've ever met. I'm so happy to not only photograph the amazing wedding between these two, but also gain two new awesome friends! There were so many elements to this wedding that was unique to Alex & Mike, from the centerpiece artwork (made by one of the groomsmen!) to the shot-skis, it's clear this is far from a wedding-in-a-box type of day! The Red Lion Inn was the venue of choice, one of my favorite venues to shoot at. I'm not sure what it is, but the Red Lion Inn just works for a winter wedding, maybe it's the cabin feel, maybe the layout of the bridges and walkways, whatever it is, I'm a fan. The ceremony was beautiful, and took place at St. Paul's Parish in Hingham. Usually once a church ceremony is wrapped up, we're onto the next location or have to immediately head out of there, but this case was different; we had ample time for some formal photos, and even creative portraits of Alex & Mike in the church itself, which I loved! The night was full of partying and dancing, including some Mardi Gras umbrellas and a special someone actually got iced (no spoilers, look down below to see who!) I really want to thank this couple for being so welcoming and enthusiastic with all the photos throughout the day, that really goes such a long way. Let's give a huge congrats to these awesome newlyweds, Alex & Mike!
